Privacy policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026

This policy explains how Vision Checker handles information when you use Vision Checker.

Vision screening data

Your eye selection, glasses position, answers, and screening result are processed only in your browser. They are not transmitted to us, saved to a server, or used for advertising. The calibration width is saved in your browser's local storage so you do not have to recalibrate on every visit. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser data.

Technical information

Our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs. This information may be needed to deliver and protect the site, diagnose faults, and understand aggregate usage.

Advertising and cookies

We intend to use Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

You can control personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google's Business Data Responsibility site. Other advertising vendors may provide their own opt-out controls.

Where required, an approved consent management platform will ask for your choices before eligible advertising technologies use cookies or personal data. You can revisit those choices through the “Privacy choices” link when it is available.

Data sharing

We do not sell your vision screening answers or results. Technical data may be handled by service providers that host, secure, analyze, or advertise on the site, subject to their roles and applicable law. We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect the site and its users.

Data retention

Vision Checker does not retain screening results. Hosting and security providers may retain technical logs for their documented retention periods. Advertising data is retained according to the policies and consent settings of the relevant advertising provider.

Your choices and rights

You may clear local browser data, reject or manage advertising consent where offered, and use provider opt-out tools. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection concerning personal data controlled by the site operator.

Children

Vision Checker is a general-audience screening utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. A responsible adult should supervise a child's use and arrange professional care for any concern.
